Key Account Manager - GTA

Our client, a leader in the construction/home improvement industry, is looking for a Key Account Manager to drive sales strategies and forge strong relationships with Big Box retail accounts.

We appreciate the interest of all candidates however please note that prior construction/home improvement industry experience selling to Big Box retail is mandatory. Only those candidates with this type of experience will be considered

Highlight of Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement corporate strategies, promotions
  • Develop sales strategies and long-term plans to drive sales
  • Development of excellent working relationship as a business leader with
    merchants/buyers through effective working relationships at all levels, as well as
    internal customers
  • Analysis of trends, inventory, purchasing patterns and evaluation of account
    business
  • Analyse SKU listings to achieve best share position and optimization of account
    inventory and purchasing patterns
  • Track account growth and set rebate and co-op agreement
  • Manage account events; grand openings; contractor nights, resets, product
    knowledge, road shows, store walks etc. with field sales and marketing associates
  • Responsible for the planning and effective execution of rollouts
  • Explore new alternative distribution channels

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ experience as an Account Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Senior Sales Representative selling to National Big Box Retail accounts
  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred (or equivalent in related experience)
  • Outstanding ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint Word, SAP/CRM experience an asset
  • Ability to travel
